High water at Superior Pawn & Gun

Post by CDW »

I took my 14 year old to Superior Pawn & Gun on Va Bch blvd today for a little Sunday afternoon shooting. Anybody in the area knows we've been getting a lot of rain lately. I would expect that their parking lot may be a little soggy, but imagine our surprise when we found the second floor range was flooded. They had a major roof leak going on or something. The counter guys didn't even mention it. We went in to shoot and there was water sloshing around everywhere. They had a big funnel rigged up from the ceiling running someplace, but the water was still making it to the floor. Shell casings were rolling around in the water. I shot 100 rounds of .40 WWB from my PM40 and my son shot 100 rounds of 9MM Luger from my G23 with Lone Wolf conversion barrel. Neither one of us are going to win any prizes, but it sure was a memorable trip. Hopefully they will get that taken care of soon.

Can you give a quick report about how well they performed underwater? did you need SCUBA gear or did a snorkle work OK?

hope all is OK down there...
The day they outlaw firearms is the day I become a criminal.
