Concealed Carry Position
Concealed Carry Position
What is your preferred carry position? I am sure we all have several different methods to conceal. My preferred is a Fobus paddle on my strong hip with a shirt or jacket to cover. My next preferred is IWB in the small of my back. If I ever find a Ruger LCP am looking to use an ankle holster for that.

Re: Concealed Carry Position
I'm still waiting on my CHP, so OC is my only option at this point - but as for why OC if you have a CHP... My opinion right now is that OC brings it out for the world to see and lets others know that a) it's there; b) it's there legally; c) that they also have the right to carry; and d) If you wish to discuss it with me, I'm happy to do so.
This may all change when I get my CHP though

Shoulder holster, I'm still trying to figure out how to conceal it during the summer. I guess I'll have to change my carry method when it warms up.

Re: Concealed Carry Position
I'm thinking about the Super-Tuck IWB from CrossBreed Holsters for my Kimber Pro Carry HD II. It looks funny, but it seems like it would stay put. I'm kind of a big guy, so it's not too hard for me to hide a 4" barrel 1911. Of course, my FN FNP-45 is dang near impossible hide. So, I just open carry it if the need arises.

Re: Concealed Carry Position
For the past year I've carried mainly IWB at 3:30/4:00. Now that my pants are refusing to stretch out to accommodate my increasing girth, I need to get a new OWB holster. For my G30 I have a Fobus paddle (mostly for the range), a UBG IWB, and a Galco Fletch OWB (I'm not really fond of the Galco). For the G19 I've got a another Fobus paddle, and a Comp-tac pro undercover IWB. I also recently picked up a S&W 642 and got a pocket holster made from rkba holsters. Maybe its just the new gun infatuation, but I find myself going for this one most of the time now. Its pretty convenient to just grab it and throw it in the pocket. I'm pretty much a cargo shorts kinda guy during the summer (thats why I wanted to get the 642 for pocket carry), so think it'll be my go-to EDC during the warmer months.

Here is my G30 in a UBG Holster.

Usually CC at the 4 OClock either OWB or IWB. Depends on the situation.

CrossBreed IWB Super Tuck at about 4:00. I also carry a .38 derringer from time to time in one of those small camera bags on the belt.

3:00 IWB holster.
Re: Concealed Carry Position
Currently I'm carrying a Kel-Tec P-11 clipped on my belt IWB at 3 o'clock. However, I have on order a Kahr CW9 and will be in the market for a IWB for 3 o'clock, a IWB at 6 o'clock and maybe a shoulder holster for winter/hunting that'll support my NM Black Hawk. If any of you guys can suggest a good IWB for a CW9 or possibly have something you'd sell, please chime in!
