Here's a couple of pics of the Liberty Fatboy safe I had delivered a few weeks ago. Its the 64 gun model which I have configured for 32 and no way are 32 long guns gonna fit in there unless they're all .22 youth models. Anyway, its a nice safe. I especially like the door panel. And, made in America. You just can't beat that unless you put wheels on it.

Very nice. Plenty of room for expansion, I see. You have an excellent start on a collection.
Sometimes they breed in the dark and have children. A Browning and a Winchester will mate and produce Brownchesters. They'll win best of breed at any gun show. That's what MY wife thinks....... although, sometimes I've been caught adopting...........

Very nice, DK. I like the door storage too.

I see you have power and a light inside, do you have an AC powered dehumidifier?

Thanks, Jay. I did put a dehumidifier in the bottom and it works great. Its powered from the interior AC socket. Now if I can only concoct a believable story for Young about how safes "perform" better when they are full... :hysterical:

Thermal mass. A full safe changes temperature more slowly. You need more things in there. Heavy things.

The more stuff you have in it, the heavier it is. That will discourage theft.

I already used that one when I convinced her it had to be bolted down...now I'll have to tell her 1 guy with a crowbar can pull it up. Hey, she has all her jewelry in their now too. This one may just pan out...

Very nice DK! Is that thing sitting on a set of floor joists, or is there a foundation directly underneath?

DK I don't think you are going to have a problem with a pry bar pulling up your safe, maybe a 6' L bar but with it bolted that won't work either. Good job picking that one out, you done good. Now all you need in there is a Garand and a M14

Thanks and yes I do have those on my list. As Jay said they will help make it heavier and much harder to steal...Young, sweety, are you listening... :hysterical:

I have the 12 cubic foot Liberty Centurion. It's on sale at Lowes for $297. It's also a Chinese piece of junk. The walls are probably .060 steel. The locking mechanism arrived with a serious flaw that pretty much makes the combination lock irrelevant. Even if the lock did work as it should, drilling the door would be child's play.

It would be a decent safe to keep family members out of the gun stash but it WILL NOT slow down someone who is serious. Before buying one of these, I would save the money and put a good padlock on a broken refrigerator.

I didn't expect a whole lot from a cheap safe but I'd take this POS back in a second if it wasn't 296 pounds and down a flight of stairs.

I'm not familiar with the 12 cubic foot Centurion you have, but I'm surprised to hear it's so flimsy. My Centurion 20 is built like a brick outhouse.

I'd say it's related to the Second law of thermodynamics... your dehumidifier will have to work less because of the volume of air displaced by an increase of the internal volume being taken by firearms, therefore saving you on the electric bill as well... :hysterical:

Hey that might work if she were ignorant. Trouble is she's been hoodwinked before on other issues and is now suspicious of any "logical" argument I present to buy more guns...
