Any Ruger 57 shooters out there .

I like the look of the New Ruger 57....Haven't handled one yet and I am not up on the 5.7x28 caliber. It's just different from the pistols I usually shoot but , it looks like it has some potential . 10 and 20 rd. mags. and the rail make it pretty sweet.

It's so new that it may take awhile to get an affirmative response to your question. I am liking what I see with this gun, too.

I started looking at the FNH USA 5.7x28 a couple years back. What I read was it was developed for the Military. It's a high velocity hard impact bullet. At $1400 it's a little pricey. If I spend that kind of $$$ on a pistol it would be a 1911 of some kind. The Ruger 57 is around $850. The 10 & 20 rd. Mag. makes this pretty desirable. I'm hoping to get my hands on one soon .

I got to shoot a 57 yesterday...I do like it . Balance was good and has a comfortable grip. Very accurate and had recoil like a .22 . For some reason it just doesn't suit me. At around $825 and .55 per round and ammo not too available , I chose to buy the Rock Island .22 magnum 1911 that I have been looking at for awhile. A .22 Mag. in a semi auto is a little rare and not too popular but , I will see. I shot about 150 rds. and all is pretty good. The lead nose hollow point had a loading issue but , It likes the FMJ CCI and has no issues .
