Just FYI -- This is a bogus phone call. I do not know how they found her name and number but it sounded personal.
This guy called my wife and said there were hackers getting into her PC. He claimed to be from MS and/or Dell. He wanted to sell her a program for $98.00 that would fix the problem.
Through a lengthy process and her providing some PC information shows her csrss.exe file and that was how they were getting in.

Re: Bogus phone call indicating hackers getting in PC
I am generally disinclined to believe any unsolicited phone calls regarding my computer.
My desktop has been disconnected for 5.5 years, and my laptop usually isn't connected to the internet, either.
Even so, there's nothing on either computer that's worth finding, unless the hacker is REALLY into random photo-chop experiments, or horribly amateur attempts at computer generated music.

This happens constantly. I work in IT. Several years ago when I was out of work I received a few of these calls. I ended up playing dumb and tying them up on the line for about an hour each time. I figured I had nothing better to do and any time they spend talking to me is time they're not scamming someone out of their money.

Get a Twilio account, put up a bot to flood their lines.
