Well, there's that.

Post by Reverenddel »

... I've known the shift in my WAY high upper management's views are Leftist/Prog/Commie.

They post things on the internal website to appease their base in NoVa... But today? One of them ran his mouth about the "March For Our Lives", and tried to walk that balancing act.

Failed. And all his lil' NoVa Minions didn't walk at all. Ranting about "Stupid Gun Owners" ONLINE, for ALL the sites!

So now, all the other sites are majorly irritated. We already knew before they considered us "the problem with the nation", but they needed us, because we're "draft horses", and they pranced around like "show ponies". Useful for nothing, but entertainment.

I'm not so entertained. After decades of working here, and loyalty to my co-workers, and my immediate management, I'm not going to dismiss the head hunters when they come knocking on my door anymore. I'm going to listen to their offers, I'm going to research their companies.

If I wanted to work for an anti-gun, anti-christian, anti-life employer. I would have gone with the government. :coffee:

So today? For the eleventy billionth time this year, my heart is broken.

I'm getting weekly emails from linkedin. Last year the average number of jobs in area were 80K. In last couple months the average rose to 140K. So ... go for it. There is plenty demand. You may get a big raise too, not only a better environment.

I'm sorry to hear that you've lost faith and respect for your employer, Rev.

Have you considered using your experience in your field to engage in freelance work, and/or consulting?

If you work for yourself, the clientele may still be a little obnoxious, from time to time, but at least you'll always know where the boss stands on things, and the boss will always have your back.

The big corporation I worked for has not trusted/backed up their employees for years. The management acted like university and government. The people who do the work are run hard/put up wet and if one of the lazy, but protected multitude complains, the good guys/gals go on the chopping block to appease them and to show that management is listening/responsive (even though it's just a lie the minions can't see through).

They proved to me many years ago they had no loyatly to me and the last few years I worked there I returned their feelings/treatment.

People with no loyalty to anyone but the dollar and themselves are incapable have having loyalty to others, especially those with principles they don't understand and look down on (religion, honesty, loyalty, integrity, work ethic, etc, etc.)
