Well, it isn't Northern VA, but since he advertises here... ProShooter:

Blue Ridge Arsenal has classes, but you got to call them to find out when they are, how much they are, etc...
http://blueridgearsenal.com/
Seems entirely more than an individual should have to do to attend a class.
Silver Eagle posts their classes on-line.

Now, if you really want tick off those anti-gun twerps, you can take the on-line class:

Though if you have no handgun handling experience, you should probably get some sort of live training... even if it isn't for the CHP.

Re: CHP class
Thanks for the mention LFS.
We'd be happy to assist with any training needs. We'll be teaching at the Nation's Gun Show in Chantilly on Nov. 21 and 22, as well as our monthly Richmond classes.

Re: CHP class
While it is certainly your choice to take an online course and it now meets the criteria, its not very highly regarded amongst those who teach.ckenealy1 wrote:thanks guys, i have significant firearms experience, so ill probably just end up taking the online course, god i love living in virginia
Our course (and many others around the state) only charge on average about $20 more for a 5 hour class with a live instructor, rather than a one hour video...the choice is yours though and I wish you the best of good luck in whatever training you choose.

Proshooter,
Which classes will you be teaching in Chantilly? And do they involve range time?
Also, do you teach or know of anybody that teaches the Lindell firearms retention and disarmament methods?

As far as Lindell, unfortunately I do not know anyone who teaches that.
