BAD EXPERIENCE AT BLUE RIDGE ARSENAL

If you got a good deal or great service from a shop or range and you want to brag about them, here's the place to do it. Likewise, if you are unhappy about someone's service or feel like you've been ripped off, we want to know that too!

I went to BRA once to give it a shot and never went back. Why go to BRA at all when the nearby NRA Range is so much better?

I don't blame you for not being happy.

They made promises they didn't keep.

They charged you for something that didn't cost very much but they failed to keep their promise and failed to insure they had a satisfied customer.

When I have a similar experience (had one worse than yours at Bob's Gun Shop on Hull St. in Richmond a few years back) I just let them know I will not, ever, buy another gun from them. I bought a gun, it broke (may have been broke when I bought it) before I every fired it (firing pin tip fell out of the gun - a Browning pistol, while I was cleaning/lubing it the day after I bought it). They had it for months and communication was anything from its repaired and ready to pick up (someone else's Auto 5 was, but not my pistol) to we can't find parts for it anywhere (even though I gave them the name/address/contact info for the company that now handles Browning parts in the US). I finally (after several requests and several months) got my pistol back, ordered the parts and fixed it myself. I will never do business with them again. That pistol was the 4th gun I'd bought from them.

There is more to the customer/store owner interaction than price. Service has to be considered or price is meaningless. Selling something for a good price does not make bad service okay.

I see nothing wrong with you letting others know about the issues you experienced with your purchase and service after the purchase.

Just because it's a big range doesn't mean they don't have overhead. Most gun stores, would have laughed you out the door. They charged
nothing for labor and only charged you for a spring. You bought a used gun refurbished or not...sound like a Progressive...

Is there a special reason you revived a 5 year old thread to insult someone? I mean, other than to insult someone?

20 posts is 6 years???

I know the Blue Ridge Arsenal up at Ashland has a notice from the landlord as to the rent not being paid, and the location's lease is terminated... that's as recent as this weekend.

Well that should reduce confusion, as the one in Chantilly of the same name is still open
