Cancelled Richmond Gun Shows??

Looking at the C&E website it shows the Richmond Gun Shows scheduled for the first half of the year were cancelled. None show for the second half of the year.

Anyone know what's going on.

While updating today I did read something to the effect all shows will be under Showmasters but did not save the link. I will hunt for the link and will post when found. It may clarify. Richmond shows cancelled for Mar 25-26 on one page and verified on another.

UPDATE!

Here is the text from an email I received for an inquiry regarding the Richmond Gun Shows.

The Richmond shows, as I have been told, are not allowing gun shows at the venue any longer. As for the Manassas venue, I have not heard. You need to contact the promoters of those shows. Here is a link to our Promoters Links page:

Does this mean no more gun shows at the Race Track? If so, does anyone know where they will be in the future?

I went to one up in Richmond at the Convention Center (??) Not a fan of that location for parking or the people you have to walk by on the street corners.

That is correct. The Richmond Raceway will not allow guns so no more shows at this venue.

Yep! March show is cancelled, and they haven't returned my email yet.

Now I have no reason at all to drive up there, since left turn only racing (which stops if it rains) is BORING.

Confirmed... Insurance requirements from RIR became WAY out of proportion from previous events....

2017... Completely closed to gunshows at RIR...

Won't be frequenting them again.

Looks like the Meadow Event Park where the state fair is held in Doswell will be the only venue left near Richmond.

They have an SKS Gunshow listed for Feb 25-26. Right now it's the only show they have listed but they usually have 2-3 per year.


Honestly I haven't been to an RIR show in forever, just don't care for that part of town.

Last show I went to was at the MEP about a year ago.

I use to go to most Shows in VA , until the last couple of years. Now there is so much BS and not too many good deals , so I just don't go anymore.
