Well, I don't know home many of you use Federal pistol ammo, but I'm going to stay away from it for a few months. I had 3 fail to feed issues with both federal 9mm range ammo and federal JHP defense ammo in 2 pistols. All ammo was purchased recently.
I had 1 9mm fail to feed that hard jammed my Glock 17 with the range ammo. Needed a rubber mallet to bust the slide loose.
Also had a failure to feed with the range ammo in the MPX, which required a slide hammer to get the BCG to unjam. That round came out of a different box than the jam in my G17.
Also had a federal defense JHP jam in the MPX, which also required a slide hammer to get loose.
All 3 boxes came from the same store on the same day. Might be time to switch to Blazer for a few months.

I like Blazer ammo. Never had a problem with it.

I too like Blazer ammo.....9 and .40 are my favorite flavor's . Can't ever remember any issue's. I shoot a lot of Federal too...brass and aluminum cased. Very rare to have a problem , but the Federal I am shooting now was purchased in '08 or '09 . I still buy Federal ammo because I see plenty on the shelves , of course that could change at anytime !!!

I have both Gander Mountain and Dick's Sporting Goods by my house. They both have a pretty flush stock of the Blazer. I bought the federal because I prefer to give my LGS the business. Especially since its a great little spot. He hardly ever has Blazer... so I guess I am going to head to Gander Mountain on Friday.

Blazer 115 gr. is just about the lightest factory 9mm load I know of. It isn't unusual for it to cause failures to feed and/or stovepipes because it sometimes doesn't have enough juice to cycle the slide all the way.

Really... I don't recall having problems with it in the past, which is why I mentioned switching back to it from federal. The only reason I stopped buying it is because my LGS hasn't stocked it in awhile.
Maybe I'll try a few boxes before I stock up. Make sure they cycle in my stuff okay. The 3 failures I had occurred within 200 rounds of each other, which is too frequent for my liking.

Have you contacted Federal with the lot numbers? Because it could be on recall.

Nope. Didn't even grab the numbers. Just tossed the boxes at the range. I wasn't even thinking about the possibility of a recall. Especially since one was a jhp and the other 2 were fmj.
