So Hot....

I was driving 40 East through Arkansas, earlier. Had the radio on, and dialed into 19, and I heard a voice crackle through the speaker, that said,

"Boy, it has been hot. I'ze sittin' down in Armadillo yeste'day, and it was so hot that I seen me a crackhead try'na put the copper back'n the A/C unit."

We finished a 39 sq. re-roof job today .... I can agree , it's HOT !!!

I'm not saying its hot around here, but yesterday I saw two Hobbits toss a ring into my yard.

I called my mom yesterday. She said it was hot up in WV (Greenbrier County), too. She said it got up to 90 F. She said it hadn't been that hot in a long time.

If I'd been up there. I think I'd have sat my folding chair down in the creek behind the house and put my feet down in the water for as long as I could stand it. That water is so cool it's got native trout in it (little bitty ones about 2 to 3" long). When you run it into a metal bucket the sides of the bucket "fog" up till the water warms up from the air.

As a fellow Roofer, I'll agree...! It's hotter than Hell out there lately..!

It's a tough way to make a living for sure. Like any profession though, can be rewarding.
