You folks have to watch this video. You will laugh hysterically while a piece of you dies inside.

Fox New (sad to say) had a Forensic Expert talk about the mass shooting of LEO's in Dallas. It seems the bar is set pretty low to be an expert, because even my wife who knows almost nothing about firearms (by choice) was laughing at this women.

Lets play a little game. Here is all the stupid stuff I found.

1.) The only difference between a hunting rifle and assault rifle is the scope.

2.) What is a double-shot weapon? Like a double barreled shotgun?

3.) You can easily purchase assault rifles and hunting rifles at a grocery store?

4.) You can go into a gun store and buy an adapter to make any gun an assault rifle… hahahahahaha

5.) The adapter allows the gun to shoot faster… hahahahaha

6.) You could execute this attack with a weapon you can purchase almost anywhere at this point… OMG I can’t stand laughing this hard… its hurts…. Make her stop…..

7.) What the hell is a citizen journalist? I thought unless you were active duty, all journalists are civilians. Am I missing something?

8.) So, I can shoot my gun rather quickly if my rifle: (a) has a clip and (b) doesn’t have to “eject” my “bullets” between shots. Okay, got it.

9.) Pull DNA from a gun casing to find out who else was involved? Hmmm I thought all that heat from the gun shot would destroy DNS evidence since its cooking it. I might be wrong on that one. But I know that when me and my friends coordinate crimes, I always tell them “Hey, you better put your fingerprints and DNA on this bullet or you aren’t getting credit for being involved.”

Realistically, this really makes me very upset. Its just more propaganda to villainize ALL guns. She is saying flat out that you can buy a gun anywhere in seconds and commit mass murder.

And this hit-piece is even targeting accessories like scopes and SlideFire (bump-fire) stocks.

This is going to be the new narrative folks. Its not just "assault rifles" that are bad, but all firearms and accessories. We have to be ready to push back hard on this by keeping people educated.

We have to constantly remind people that if guns were not the most efficient means of self-defense, they wouldn't be being used by every single military and law enforcement agency on the face of the planet.

We also need to remind people that today, right now, since the invention of gun-free zones this shooting of the police officers in Dallas is only the third mass shooting in the US that was in an area that was not a gun-free zone. The concept of disarming good, law abiding citizens to try to make the criminals less dangerous is a huge fundamentally flawed concept that doesn't work anywhere, ever. Criminals don't care if you make guns illegal. They are going to get and use them anyway.

Also, the locations of the highest murder rates and highest homicide rates with firearms are in areas are highly restricted or completely outlawed... like Chicago, Detroit, or even nations like Honduras and El Salvador. Compare that to locations were firearm ownership is compulsory, murder is literally non-existent in countries like Andorra, San Marino, and Monaco. Here in the states, places like Plano Tx have near 100% gun ownership and there are more firearms than people, but murder and crime are near non-existent.

The libs and anti-2a people fight with emotion. We need to push back with facts.

What is so frustrating is these are the ones trying to write laws for gun owners. It is a shame there wasn't a 2A supporter there in the group that could have asked her to further explain while the video was being created. No one questioned her -- makes me think perhaps some of them do not understand either.

I've seen that video before. If it wasn't for the fact that she is trying to Lord over us by creating laws, it would be hysterical.

We really need to see if we can get a movement going to get a bill passed in US Congress that states that if you are going to write a Bill, you need to be a subject matter expert in the area that the bill covers. I don't care if it's guns, food, medicine, environmental. These people need to know what the Heck they are talking about and knowledgeable enough to explain it in simple terms for everyone to understand. If you cant, then you have no business making laws regulating it.

I'd be more interested in legislation that limits Congress to passing one law a year, with the stipulation that the law have a 500 character limit, and 10 laws be removed from the books for each law passed, for the next 10 or 20 years, or so.

I fully agree. They need some kind of qualifications to participate.

It's funny there seems to be "experts" called on most issues -- except guns. The FDA will resource doctors, physicians, etc as authorities but seems anyone can join an "Anti-gun" organization and provide input on gun control.

Imagine someone who has never driven a vehicle being used as an authority on anti-lock brake systems or Air-bags.

Actually, it IS possible to buy a hunting rifle in a grocery store if you stretch the "grocery store" definition only slightly.
Although you can no longer buy an AR15 style rifle in the ones I'm thinking about.

My local Walmart in Charlottesville and undoubtedly the one just east on I64 sell both a full line of food produces including fresh deli products and at the other end of the store, in sporting goods, rifles and shotguns are for sale to any LAC that can pass a NICS check and has the cash/credit.
