I'm glad to hear that things are starting to work in your favor.

Well looks like phone convos are off limits under reasonable expectations of privacy.

Gonna have to find another way to get dirt on em.

Unless the law has been changed lately, it is.

See:
Virginia Recording Law

In Virginia, May I Secretly Record a Conversation and is the Recorded Conversation Admissible as Evidence in Court?

Bear in mind that Virginia being an "at will" employment state that it's POSSIBLE that company policy prohibits recording conversations and termination might be possible that way. However, I suspect that a good attorney could rake the company over the coals in that case if the recordings were definitely evidence of wrong doing on the part of the company or their representatives.

Given that one conversation was recorded with DM in a company vehicle and the other with the HR head in his office it can be argued that there was a reasonable expectation of privacy.

Cant update any further. Noticed customers making little comments to coworkers and myself about things I've only mentioned on FB or here, including the DM making a smug remark while on the phone with my Social Worker about an upcoming court date. This and expertlaw are the only forums in which I've discussed this issue in depth. This is the only forum I've listed my first name and town in. Blocked everyone company wise from FB including relatives off the boss, can't be too careful. Ill update when "officially" resolved.

All seems to be well, Boss even seems like she's in a better mood. Even if she's faking it I'm cool with it. :)
