If you have a decent knife and a source of soft wood Eskimo sunglasses are easy to make if you really need them.

Lol, I was just poking fun.

I note the satellite phone on one of those lists, too.

I occasionally check on the cost of those things, as well as reliability improvements, and other advancements in the technology. Last I looked, you could get a sat phone that used satellites that traveled latitude, or that traveled longitude.

Seems to me, by now we should have phones that will use the best available satellite, or cell towers. And it should be affordable. The technology to facilitate this exists, and it's not exactly new.
