Hello All,
Recently, there was a discussion about the Muslim man in the Army who went nuts and shot up a bunch of people at Fort Hood in Texas. This discussion had to be removed from the forum due to some overzealous comments that were made.
I'm upset by the ordeal, as many of you are. However, it is very important that we maintain a sense of decorum here in our discussion topics. This includes keeping racial overtones to a minimum as well as keeping our emotions in check to a certain degree.
I'm not saying that you can't speak your mind, but please ensure that you remain within the bounds of the forum. We are in the public eye here - now more than ever. It is of paramount importance that we handle ourselves in a constructive and intelligent way to ensure that VGOF is not viewed as a racially motivated place. Our motives here are to help protect our Second Amendment rights and to provide a place for people to discuss things that are important to firearm owners. We cannot allow our emotions to cause us to lose sight of what this forum is all about.
Racial bigotry will not be tolerated.
If a moderator determines that a post that you have made is out-of-bounds and you are warned in one way or another, please step away from the forum for a few minutes and consider why the moderator felt the way he did. We have a great group of mods here, and none of them will single anyone out unless they feel it is absolutely necessary.
Please be considerate of others and of the message that our forum puts forth to the general public.

Re: Proper forum etiquette
Id like to take a moment to appoligize to the members of this forum that were offended. Racial Bigotry was not intended. the discription of what this man did was beyond dispicable. and was only intended to display anger of what he did. I think everyone was pretty upset by some of the other comments made. I accept the reprimand. Steve

Thats offensive, and its coming here. You can chastise me or ban me it doesn't matter. While some of you are polishing your relics and others are writing letters to politicians who hire others to read them, we are losing our nation to...... dare I say it? The UK, France and Germany all went down this road. Tolerance, taken to its extreme is weakness. Weakness is what they already perceive in Americans and American culture. If we are to go down that path "politely", we should at least have the courage to keep our eyes wide open until the bitter end. Take care.
