VA Senate Defunding Gov's Protective Services!

Post by MarcSpaz »

This is awesome!!!

Senator Bill Carrico said they are working on a Bill to defund the Governors Armed protective services as retaliation for the Executive orders disarming citizens and the retraction of CHP/CWP reciprocity! The Rhinos in DC should watch this and learn how to make stuff happen!!!

....he said. “I have a budget amendment that I’m looking at to take away his executive protection unit. If he’s so afraid of guns, then I’m not going to surround him with armed state policemen.”

As much as I'd like to see this come to pass, it's just political posturing. As long as he holds the office of governor he'll have armed protection from the VSP.

Maybe when the next election cycle comes around, more gun owners will find time in their busy day to go to the polls and vote for someone that doesn't have their lips superglued to Mike Bloomberg's ass.

As much as I don't like the guy, his hypocrisy on the subject of "protection for me, but none for thee," or his unilateral actions, this retaliation is just as much about politics as the governor's actions. I wouldn't feel good if his protection was actually pulled and then something happened to him.

Told y'all before Christmas Bill Carrico was going to do this. And he doesn't posture. He's a man that says what he means and means what he says. There may be little likelihood that the measure will pass or even be voted on, but you can bet that he means it sincerely.

Gun-crazy? Me? I'd say the gun-crazy ones are the ones that don’t HAVE one.
