I have had confirmation from several members that candidate Glen Sturtevant’s campaign manager, Matt Brown, has been telling gun owners that I have personally endorsed Sturtevant. My phone calls to Mr. Brown are not being returned.

Let me be perfectly clear: I DO NOT GIVE PERSONAL ENDORSEMENTS. PERIOD.

If you ever hear any candidate or their campaign saying that Philip Van Cleave has endorsed a candidate, please let me know immediately.

Glen Sturtevant has NOT returned his VCDL survey. Until he does, the VCDL-PAC cannot and will not endorse him.

As president of VCDL I try to stay clear of partisan politics. VCDL, as a non-profit organization, cannot and will not make endorsements. The VCDL-PAC is a separate entity per the IRS and is the only VCDL entity that can make endorsements.

The VCDL-PAC will be working right through election day to help the candidates it has endorsed to get elected.

If you live in Glen Sturtevant’s area, contact his campaign and tell him to:

1. Stop saying that the VCDL President has endorsed him and
2. To fill out and return the VCDL survey
