Here's a few of my favorites Marc...
These are a couple of my slicers & dicers. Primary use.... game. Have skinned/butchered multiple deer with both of these.
These 2 are probably my favorite knives, and for different reasons. I originally bought this recon for a pocket knife, was thinking edc. However, it's a little big to fit comfortably in my front pocket in every day activity. It's a solid knife, razor sharp, & just "feels right" in my hand. I like it much better in the field although, I carry it in a case. (A custom case made by a member here). It is now my primary field dressing & or butchering knife. It's the only "expensive" knife I've ever bought.
I have a personal attachment to my buck fixed blade. I bought this knife about 25yrs ago. It's had minimal actual use but, I still love to look at it
This is my every day pocket carry....don't laugh. It's literally a $9 knife from Wally World. I bought one several years ago, & loved it. I usually keep the blade sharp, & use it for everything from opening mail, to sharpening carpenters pencils, opening shingle bundles, etc. It has even cut out back straps, gutted trout, & peeled many a apple

The first one I bought about 5yrs ago. the pocket clip broke. I looked everywhere for a replacement, couldn't find it. So I bought another one at Wallys. Fits perfect in my pocket, easy to open & close. One of the few that I can open or close one handed, without even looking at it. It's just comfortable for me & my application/s. Plus.... can't beat the price

I literally pulled it out of my pocket, put on the table to photograph it. It aint fancy but, Hands down the best bang for the buck of any knife I've ever owned.
I have some decorative knives that have never cut anything but a piece of paper. Although, probably the coolest knives I have... are some german WWII knives.
