VCDL-PAC local endorsements for the November 3, 2015 General Election.

VCDL-PAC is defending your rights in your neighborhood, just like VCDL members do when they converge on a Board of Supervisors or town hall meeting to fight off anti-gun ordinances. As the maxim goes, "All politics is local," so your Board of Supervisors, Sheriff, Clerk, City Councils, and most of all, YOU, are on the FRONT LINES when it comes to defending and advancing gun rights.

Due to limited resources, a pilot program was set up for 2015 whereby VCDL only sent out local surveys if VCDL-PAC had received a request from a candidate or constituent VCDL member. In that case, VCDL surveyed all the candidates in the given race, with a consistent deadline for return.
(Hopefully, VCDL will be able to survey all local candidates in 2017.)

A completed survey is a requirement for any potential VCDL-PAC endorsement. It is NOT a guarantee of a VCDL-PAC endorsement. VCDL-PAC considers factors such as actual pro-gun votes, carrying or proposing pro-gun legislation, visible support of gun owners' rights, and commitments to cutting edge pro-gun policy in their endorsement decisions.

In the races for GOOCHLAND COUNTY CLERK and AUGUSTA COUNTY SHERIFF, we find it hard to endorse one candidate over the other. In GOOCHLAND, both Keith Flannigan (R) and Dale Agnew (I) answered the Survey "Very Pro-Gun". In AUGUSTA COUNTY, both Neil Kester (I) and Todd Lloyd (I) answered the Survey "Very Pro-Gun". My thanks to Mr. Kester for getting his survey in early, and for following up with a phone call.

COME OUT AND VOTE FOR YOUR LOCAL CANDIDATES ON TUESDAY, NOVEMBER 3rd!

If you don't see any candidates from your neck of the woods, get out there and bring a pro-gun candidate to my attention. WE WILL get behind them!

Normally, this is where I hassle you for money. It is a drag, but it is part of my job. Even more importantly, I need you to do something else:
GET INVOLVED! VOLUNTEER to stand next to your candidate at your local precinct. We will send you our famous orange “GUNS SAVES LIVES”
stickers to hand out. Cutting us a check is great, and we need the help, but at the end of the day, I can make all the endorsements I want. If these candidates don't have VOLUNTEERS, it is all for naught. These ladies and gentlemen are not running for statewide office. They don't have huge machines to sweep them into office. As much as they need my support, THEY NEED YOU EVEN MORE!

As I said at the beginning, ALL POLITICS IS LOCAL! Your Delegates, Senators, Attorneys General, Lt. Governors, Governors, they ALL started somewhere. In most cases, they started HERE! Let's seed the next generation in Virginia now. If we build the pro-gun momentum at the local level, IT WILL rise to the top!
