The upcoming General Election on Tuesday, November 3, 2015, presents gun owners with a tremendous pro-gun opportunity in Powhatan County.

VCDL-PAC 2015 POWHATAN COUNTY ENDORSEMENTS: COME OUT AND VOTE FOR THESE CANDIDATES ON TUESDAY, NOVEMBER 3rd!

POWHATAN COUNTY BOARD OF SUPERVISORS:

District 1 VCDL-PAC ENDORSES Republican Supervisor DAVID WILLIAMS!
District 2 VCDL-PAC ENDORSES Republican candidate BOB MARCELLUS!
District 3 VCDL-PAC ENDORSES Republican Supervisor BARRY HODGE!
District 4 VCDL-PAC ENDORSES Republican candidate DAVID BAILEY!
District 5 VCDL-PAC ENDORSES Republican candidate TIM GRESHAM!

POWHATAN COUNTY SHERIFF: VCDL-PAC ENDORSES BRAD NUNNALLY!

POWHATAN COUNTY CLERK OF COURT: VCDL-PAC ENDORSES THERESA DOBBINS!

FINALLY a VCDL member, BOB MARCELLUS (R), has stepped up to run for local office, AND LED WITH GROUNDBREAKING 2A POLICY. WE NEED MORE VCDL MEMBERS TO TAKE THE LEAP.

LOOK what is happening in just one county with one committed VCDL member as a candidate! Why should anyone have to pay so much as a nickel to exercise their Second Amendment rights? The above endorsed candidates have committed not to fund any "gun-free zones" with taxpayer funds, and BOB MARCELLUS is working hard on an ordinance to replicate the effect of Kennesaw, Georgia's home defense law, which greatly reduced crime.

VCDL-PAC joins VCDL in thanking candidates Greg Rice (L) and Charlie Bennett (L) for returning strongly pro-gun surveys. They deserve an "honorable mention." As noted, VCDL-PAC considers factors like commitments to cutting-edge policies. Current District 5 Supervisor Carson Tucker's FAILURE to return his survey most likely indicates indifference, if not outright hostility toward Powhatan's gun owners.
Incumbent Supervisors Larry Nordvig (I-1) and Bill Melton (I-4) both returned pro-gun surveys, which we appreciate. However, in addition to having no strong pro-gun policy initiatives, they both voted with Mr.
Tucker to fund a non-profit which enacted "gun-free zones" in the latest county budget.

Powhatan County will be a critical experiment in gun owners' rights. Bob Marcellus is a VCDL Executive Member with a lengthy record of Second Amendment advocacy. He has ALL SIX of his fellow endorsees on board with what will become groundbreaking pro-gun measures, including FREE PERMITS with IMMEDIATE TURNAROUND!

Gun owners have supported too many candidates in the past that said, "I own a gun, so vote for me" and accepted their banal campaign slogans stating, "I support the Second Amendment." Far too many imposters have been elected, only to disappoint us by not carrying a bill or by avoiding key votes. We need to endorse real policy initiatives, courageous votes, and true leadership.

Normally, this is where I pester you for money. It is a drag, but it is part of my job. Even more importantly, I need you to do something else:
GET INVOLVED! VOLUNTEER to stand next to your candidate at your local precinct. We will send you our famous orange “GUNS SAVES LIVES”
stickers to hand out. Cutting us a check is great, and we need the help, but at the end of the day, I can make all the endorsements I want. If these candidates don't have VOLUNTEERS, it is all for naught. These ladies and gentlemen are not running for statewide office. They don't have huge machines to sweep them into office. As much as they need my support, THEY NEED YOU EVEN MORE!

As I said at the beginning, ALL POLITICS IS LOCAL! Your Delegates, Senators, Attorneys General, Lt. Governors, Governors, they ALL started somewhere. In most cases, they started HERE! Let's seed the next generation in Virginia now. If we build the pro-gun momentum at the local level, IT WILL rise to the top!
