Question for the forum

Post by Reverenddel »

As always, researching some firearm that caught my eye. Eagle Arms is not one I hear about often.

Either Armalite bought them, or they bought Armalite, but does anyone HAVE one? Are their any issues?

Does anyone specifically own the Eagle Arms EA-15 HBAR?

Just thinking about it, but I'd like to get more from people I trust. Thanks!

Wish I could lend more of a hand on this one. I know a little about Eagle Arms, and do know that Eagle Arms bought the Armalite name around '95. I believe most of the HBAR series rifles were produced pre-awb, had chrome-lined 1/7 or 1/9 barrels, and were fairly consistent with their shooting, as long as you do not modify them from their original build (the rifles were built and sold as a singular unit, and were not produced to be sold as separate parts - uppers, lowers, etc..).

In any case, you're doing the right thing by researching beforehand (something I do extensively prior to purchasing). EA seems to produce a middle of the road rifle, similar to DPMS. You might also want to check other forums as well.

At the end of the day, I'm confident that you can find similarly priced AR's made by a more reputable company.

Good luck! Keep us updated.
