Minnesota gets Suppressors!

Post by Ironbear »

Minnesota, my former state of residence, has long banned ownership of suppressors. This last Friday, the MN Gun Owners Civil Rights Alliance, with the 800 lb. gorilla backing of the NRA, got a bill passed to legalize them. They are partying like it is 1999 up there! :first:

This was passed through a Democrat-controlled senate and signed by a Democratic Governor. While a lot of people were supporting it, not many believed it would actually succeed. Kudos for the strategists.

I know that a lot of gun owners like to hate on Democrats, but Minnesota's fairly liberal carry law, and now this suppressor legalization, would not have happened without the support of Democrats! The goal needs to be winning converts (or at least support), not making enemies.

Hah! There must be 4 or 5 suppressor related threads going on MNGunTalk alone!

... in further good news, no one was injured by the frozen, flying pigs that dropped out of the sky when hell froze over.
My grandfather said, "Always use your head!".
I told him, "I want to pound nails!"
He said, "Best use a hammer instead."

What we need is a state with the guts to pass a 10th Amendment law that disallows the NFA for any firearm product that is made and used entirely within its state borders.
