Thank you. It is an Ace folding stock. I just drilled and tapped 2 holes and attached it with the included screws.

You would have been good prior to 2012 :)

Would removing the slide stock off of a rifle while installing an sbr upper then constitute as a pistol?

No, it's still a rifle because that's how it started life when the serial number was registered with ATF.
