Too bad they didn't have a pair big enough to tell those who made them where they could go!
'Some may question your right to destroy ten billion people. Those who understand realise that you have no right to let them live!'

"I do not love the bright sword for its sharpness, nor the arrow for its swiftness, nor the warrior for his glory. I love only that which they defend."
What if the "exercise" was sponsored directly by the White House? Often these cockamamie events are done by "consultants"; i.e., political allies and campaign donors, who get paid large 6-7 figure fees for them. Using our money, of course.

FWIW, I've seen similar voluntary events advertised on several naval installations.
I have neither condemned nor condoned participation is this kind of event. If an individual Sailor wants to take the time to express their views against SH/SA this way - fine. If their not comfortable expressing their support in this manner - also fine; there are SO many other ways to show support for the cause without walking around in heels.
Two reasons I don't really care for this type of event:
1) Males, in general, aren't proficient in heels. Somebody's gonna twist an ankle, and now I'm down a Sailor for some undetermined period of time.
2) More importantly, where this kind of event falls short is addressing the fastest growing trend of SA in the military - Male on Male. This kind of events only addresses the issue from the female victim perspective.
