You shouldn't be surprised. He told us in 2008 that he wanted federal control of all the police.

In a similar vein, it turns out that the cop who stole and destroyed a woman's cell phone in South Gate, CA was on a joint PD-FBI mission. South Gate does more joint cases with the feds than almost any other city, for a simple reason: it seizes property and keeps it even though nobody has been convicted of anything, and working with the feds allows it to keep 80% of what it steals which is used to fund the city government.

Federal funding and "grants" of military equipment and training are all designed to co-opt the local police and make them dependent on the feds so that they will reliably support the Party of the federal government - and you all know which party that is - while they feed the Us vs. Them separation of the government from the people.
