John Geer shooting civil case settled by Fairfax

Post by dorminWS »

Hispanic cop shoots unarmed white guy standing in his own home with his hands up. You'd think all the ingredients for outrage and demonstrations by the anti-cop crowd and national meainstream media was there, but the silence is deafening. Guess it just ain't news unless the dead guy was black.

As I read it, no action on criminal case yet, and no word from Fairfax when or if.

My complaint about the whole thing is the woman who triggered his outburst of throwing her crap on the lawn will get to reap the windfall. She was the one who called the Police. His kids are the ones will always be short their father and their mother has some of the responsibility. She was going to move out, he was just speeding the process along. It does sound like he was a bit of a hothead. He shouldn't have shown his firearm, however he did place it away from where they were talking. Officer Torres needs to have an administrative hearing immediately to resolve his employment status. Paying someone who shot a person under questionable circumstances and cost the city millions in a settlement does not need to be paid for doing nothing, especially more than a year later.
You just have to ask yourself, is he telling you the truth based on knowledge and experience or spreading internet myths?
