I've long considered Black History Month to be a fairly absurd observance. I would also consider White History Month to be equally absurd. Ditto for any other demographic.

Myself, I appreciate history, regardless of who made it. All history should be appreciated, all the time. History is the best indicator of the future. Also, any historical figure, regardless of race, is worth knowing about. Good or bad, there are lessons to be learned from them.

As to the guy with the sign, I admire his bravery in displaying that thing in his window. From the his quotes in the article, I gather that he is attempting to point out the silliness of the whole thing. More power to him; I wish him well.

Middle-age white American men are racist, sexist, homophobic, infidels that aren't capable of anything but lusting after money as they kill babies and poison the Earth with their size 15 carbon foot print while sucking down bacon double cheese burgers, a 32 oz BigGulp Coke and smoking a pack a Malboro Reds in front of a homeless half black, half Mexican Muslim transsexual diabetic with emphysema and a masters degree in modern economics social science and minor in advanced basket weaving.

We don't deserve a month, or even a day. We're lucky we're aloud to simply take a breath as we hand all of the millions we've earned of the the Left Wing Socialist Overlords in DC to disseminate it to all of the aforementioned victims, you know, because why should they work.

Pepsi, no coke. And I don't smoke. Don't even chew anymore. My reprehensible habits are now constrained to gluttony and drunkenness. And occasional licentiousness; but only to a relatively modest degree these days. Ain't as young as I once was. And I never kilt no babies, but I've made a few. I'd ask if that gets me any credit; but those folks you're talking about that so disapprove of me are all about killing babies, aren't they?
