A few days ago, the Internet almost ate itself while people argued over the color of someone's dress. Today, it's a picture of a weasel riding atop a woodpecker. No wonder the government wants to take over the interwebs.

That sort of thing represents why the gub'mint has no need to take over the interwebs. People are clearly distracted from gub'mint mischief.
People using the internet to argue over a dress reminds me of when Elvis used his limo to haul livestock to Graceland, when he first moved in. Here's this wonderful tool, but its full potential isn't being realized.
That said, I love looking at the utterly absurd on the internet. So I can't really judge, lol.

Its not about content, its about freedom. I don't have any less Rights to freedom of speech or freedom of the press if I am debating an opinion on a dress or publishing life-saving medical research.
Freedom is freedom. Oppression is oppression. If you don't like what I have do write... you have the right not to read it, so don't. No has the right to tell me I can't write it.

Oh, absolutely. The internet is probably the most powerful tool for exercising the freedom of speech, ever created. If one wants to use that that tool to passionately argue the colour of a dress that they've never seen in person (and don't even own), then they've got the right.
I definitely do not support internet regulation.

Preach to the choir
Or, in my father's case, say to the congregation," and all Gods people said..."
I note that the congregation reponds with a resounding "AMEN!", every single time, lol.

Precisely why the government wants to regulate it. It isn't in the bag for them like the mainstream media. It gives Joe Lunchbucket a way to express his views to all his peers; and lets them know they are not alone. It's a way for any little boy to tell the world that the emperor has no clothes. That would scare the hell out of any tyrant.

Gun-crazy? Me? I'd say the gun-crazy ones are the ones that don’t HAVE one.

Seriously? A neurosurgeon said that? What the FLOCK does a neurosurgeon know about light refraction and axes?. . . you're trying to discount the chromatic bias of the daylight axis.
Okay, maybe I was wrong. Lets legalize pot everywhere!
No, wait! On second thought, with sh1t like this going on what anyone think that people need to be high?
Jonathan Gruber needs the Congressional Medal of Honor. It's really scares the crap out of me to think that a large percentage of society is stupid, and an equal percentage are stupider than the former.
