I'm surprised there isn't an EPA regulation forcing owners to use the dealer's service for their hybrids regardless of incorrect diagnosis or inflated cost.

I wonder if the dealer was going to kick back $1K of their fee to the Democrat Party - or perhaps to Hildbeest's campaign fund...

Clever.

Myself, I probably would have skipped most of that battery testing , and gone right to cleaning those copper plates; I might have gone on and fabricated my own. But I guess that's my method; I hit the obvious issues first.

Of course, had it been me, I wouldn't have bought an overglorified golfcart as my daily driver, anyway.

I don't envy him when he decides to tackle an A/C compressor replacement, or decides to do the water pump replacement on his own.

About the same issue as suddenly your car/truck won't start and when you check the battery terminals you see corrosion. You pull the cables off, brush/clean the corrosion off the terminals and the posts, put the terminals back on and it fires right up.

Only on one of these you have lots (and lots) of corrosion/terminals to clean up.
