Workplace violence always sounded lame as a description of this event.

I heard this on the news this afternoon.
It is about time. Those soldiers deserve it.
Especially after all the benefits the shooter got while in jail.
Great news.

I'm against it. They were in an admin setting and not engaged in combat operations. I'm glad to see them getting benefits and that it was "workplace violence" is absurd, but every time we make these feel-good exceptions, we dilute something else.

What was it, 9?, civilian firefighters were awarded the Purple Heart for action at Pearl Harbor? And we weren't even at war at the time? Civilians. Let's let that sink in for a bit.

However, it was an "act of war" was it not..? I believe Major Jihad even admitted, & declared it an act of jihad in the name of WTF ever. I think most would declare it an act of terrorism. Our government should've declared it that when it happened.

Not trying to be snide but, did Marines in the Beirut barracks bombing back in the 80s get purple hearts..? I seriously do not know, & why I ask.

Ft. Hood always struck me as an act of war, as well as an act of treason. I'm not military, so I really have no idea what would qualify one for a Purple Heart.

However, I do believe that one of the first things that Emperor Executive-Order should have done, was to do away with the ban on firearms on military bases. That's something that should never have been, anyway. That's like banning Bibles from Church.

It was an act of war on American soil. The female cop who stopped the shooter was laid off and forced to declare bankruptcy while recovering.
