Add this to the fact that the US murder rate is not even in the top 100 or top half globally, with the most firearms of any country, and we have a great start to rebut any anti.Gun advocates estimate that more than 70 percent of Vermonters own firearms. And while the state arguably has the most liberal gun freedom of any state, FBI statistics indicate Vermont is the safest state in the nation, averaging 115 violent crimes per every 100,000 residents. About two gun-related killings occur in the Green Mountain State each year. Zero hunting accidents were reported in 2014.

The stats in regard to Vermont are interesting. Those folks are insanely impatient, in my experience. They'll beat on your truck door while you are trying to back into a dock, just to inform you that you are in their way. And, they are right grumpy about it.
I guess they keep their grumpiness verbal because they assume everyone to be armed.
