1. URGENT ACTION ITEM: Gun bills to be heard tomorrow in House subcommittee!
****************************************************************

On Thursday, January 29, at 4 PM, the House Militia, Police, and Public Safety subcommittee #1 will be hearing ELEVEN anti-gun bills in 8th Floor West Conference Room in the General Assembly Building. If you want to come to show support for killing these bills, please try to get there as early as you can.

2. Anti-gun bill resurrected in the Senate, highly modified and passed out of committee
****************************************************************

Through some wailing and teeth gnashing, Senator Favola's SB 943, that takes away gun rights for certain misdemeanors, was resurrected from the dead, highly modified, and voted out of the committee. I need to see the actual wording of the bill, which I should be able to see on Thursday. For now, we are standing down. I will report what our next move will be tomorrow, once I see what we have.

3. Help needed DESPERATELY for this weekend's Virginia Beach gun show!
****************************************************************

We are in dire need of volunteers for the gun show this weekend at the Virginia Beach Convention Center.

Volunteers are needed for all shifts, especially Sunday.

Please contact Gary Moeller at gunshows.vb@vcdl.org to volunteer.

Please provide two choices for which shifts you can work (Saturday morning or afternoon and Sunday morning or afternoon). You will be contacted before the show to give you further information.

4. Prayers needed for gravely ill member

When Gary Moeller was contacting previous helpers for this weekend's Virginia Beach gun show, above, he learned that member James Smith is having very serious health problems. Please say a prayer for him.
