Class 1 Misdemeanor 18.2-56.1

Hello everyone
I have searched high and low for a more clear explination to my specific problem that I am in currently. Found this forum and it seems like you all know your stuff, so I thought I would ask my question here.

What I was hoping you all could help me out with is this.
I was charged, but have not been convicted of anything yet for a class 1 Misdemeanor 18.2-56 Reckless handling of firearms (It has nothing to do with hunting).1 as it says in the title. I have no other criminal history , and only two minor trafic tickets, I live in princewilliam county, and am 23 years old, and I believe I have a good lawyer.

I need some clarification on this:
7.An individual who has been convicted of two or more misdemeanors within the five-year period immediately preceding the application, if one of the misdemeanors was a Class 1 misdemeanor, but the judge shall have the discretion to deny a permit for two or more misdemeanors that are not Class 1. Traffic infractions or reckless driving shall not be considered for purposes of this disqualification.

Does this apply to me since it is a Class 1 Misdemeanor?

13.An individual who the court finds, by a preponderance of the evidence, based on specific acts by the applicant, is likely to use a weapon unlawfully or negligently to endanger others.

Considering i have a firearms charge pending are they likley to do this to me?

So in all should I wait for the case to come to a verdect or should I apply now. If I apply and am denied how long is the wait before I can reapply? Also if I am charged guilty how does that effect my ability to purchase a firearm or apply for a Concealed Carry Permit?
Is this charge considered a violent crime?

Also if anyone happens to know, I am a DCJS registered locksmith and electronics security tech. How will this charge effect that?
I ask because of:
3.Any individual who has ever been convicted or found guilty of a felony or misdemeanor (not to include minor traffic violations) in Virginia or any other jurisdiction to include military court martial or currently under protective orders must submit a Criminal History Supplemental Form

I under stand that but since I am already passed that would I lose my card?

I had a DCJS license, once. Lost it to a DUI. (DUI is a class 1 misdemeanor)

If I had been so inclined, I could have gotten it back. And, you can probably keep yours.

The others are right; don't talk about it here. Confer with your lawyer, on all points, including the DCJS.
