In the Special Election this Tuesday in Virginia Senate District 16, one candidate -- Preston Brown -- answered the VCDL Candidate Survey 100% in support of your RKBA while the other candidate who has an anti-gun voting record completely ignored the survey. Unfortunately, there appears to be a contradiction between Preston Brown's survey response and the public statement posted on his website under "Social Policy" at http://www.prestontbrown.com/policies/16 .

VCDL contacted him about this apparent contradiction and he said the page does not contain the information he provided the company maintaining it and he's requested the gun control statement be removed. In a followup email, he stated he has had difficulty in contacting the company. In any case, his website still contains the statement in support of gun control.

Those of you living in Senate District 16, please contact both candidates. Urge Preston Brown to prove his survey responses truly represent his views by removing the gun control statement from his website and replacing it with a statement strongly supporting the Right to Keep and Bear Arms. Urge anti-gun Rosalyn Dance to answer the VCDL Candidate Survey immediately.

If any of the candidates are afraid to take a public stand on these issues now, BEFORE the election, then they are unlikely to be very responsive to your views AFTER the election.

Failure to return a completed survey frequently indicates indifference, if not outright hostility, toward the Right to Keep and Bear Arms.
