First used gun purchase questions
First used gun purchase questions
I have purchased a Winchester 94 30-30. This is the same model dad had when i was a teen and shot on special occasions, my brother has it in Mass. It is my first used gun purchase, what info about my chosen FFL do i send to the seller?

Re: First used gun purchase questions
Its fairly easy, but I would not leave it up to translation from info we give you. Just let the FFL's work out the details between themselves. Just have your FFL call the FFL up there (or the inverse) and they will workout the details.

Re: First used gun purchase questions
1. Ask the seller for their name, address, phone and fax numbers.
2. Give that information to your local dealer and ask them to fax a copy of their current FFL to the seller.
3. The rest is between the two FFL's. Expect to pay shipping and transfer fees*
* It would be wise to ask about fees & shipping charges prior to deciding which dealer to use. These rates vary.

Re: First used gun purchase questions
I have already chosen my ffl. The time to look for another near me in the country, travel distance and other factors the will not vary enough to make a difference.
The seller contacted me back. Just send a copy with payment he said.
