Hi-Points are like Glocks...you love 'em or hate em...
and it comes down to personal choice...

i read on here from someone that "in a bad situation, having any gun is better than no gun at all"...

kinda reminds me of when i got to shoot a friend of a friends derringer...interseting, different, not that i woud go out and get one, but glad i had the experience...and would certainly welcome that over nothing in a time of need.

I think i am going to go start the "Glocks are Beautiful Too" thread...
Be particular, and be vigilant, as the enemy will only attack on two occasions:
When you're ready or when you're not ready.

Also never forget, that everyone who shows up, is not necessarily there to help.

A friend of mine bought a hi point c-9 the other day. out of the box failure to feed 3 out of 8 shots. so we opend up the top of the magazine with some pliers where it holds the ammo in. after that we ran 100 rounds through it and it perforemed flawless and was pretty accurate. i was impressed.

Point your friend to the HiPoint owners forum, I think I posted the link earlier on this thread. It's a great place, and they have a lot of info to tune your Hi Point so it's pretty reliable. After polishing the feed ramp on mine and some very minor mag lip tweaking, it ran like a champ.

they are inexpensive, if you're budget is tight, you might want to look at these. They will stop an intruder or hit a paper target. Some people will talk smack about them. Ignore them.
