Got the new sig this past week. The shop I got it from suggested not using the wolf steel case stuff. They are telling me the steel cases are prematurely wearing extractors on the sigs. Anyone else heard this?

have you already put rounds through it? i'd exchange it for a regular P226 and save 200, cause it's the exact same except for the engraved NSW anchor and collector serial. despite what SIG advertises, that is not the same as an actual crane P226.

Do you make any posts that aren't either confrontational or demeaning of what someone chooses to purchase? Of your 27 posts so far, a large percentage of them were confrontational with wbtrunx and the balance seem to attempt to show your knowledge of AR's and class 3 firearms. How about showing something? You know, put your money where your mouth or have you been a member of online firearms related forums since before I held my first gun and therefore don't need to prove anything?silentshootr wrote:have you already put rounds through it? i'd exchange it for a regular P226 and save 200, cause it's the exact same except for the engraved NSW anchor and collector serial. despite what SIG advertises, that is not the same as an actual crane P226.

To add. I haven't fired any steel ammo thru my 226. Only brass. However I did get it for considerably less than the standard 226.

Look at this way, Steel is harder than brass with a lot less give ,,,Brass is softer and much more malleable,, It stands to reason that steel would wear components faster.
