This seems innocent enough on face value, but could this give the government a way to intimidate any citizen blogger that it doesn't agree with?.
I smell something, and it's not just that camel with his nose in the tent flap.

Well, this is an example of how to eat an elephant. One bite at a time. It takes a while but sooner or later the elephant is gone. They'll start with little things like this and keep at it until we cant even post a message like this one.

These organizations will regulate everything that they can, if they can do it.

Unfortunately, in South Korea, the government regulates what is blogged on the
net. It's really horrible from the stories that I see on TV. They do more than
intimidate. They fine, they arrest, just make life living hell just for posting.

Yup and the problem with this one is that AFAIK the FTC dont need congressional or anyone elses approval to do it.MuShuGordon wrote:These organizations will regulate everything that they can, if they can do it.

If they ever do that here it will start small like oh uh something like requiring bloggers to disclose if they receive money for reviewing products they write about.mandoo4u wrote:Unfortunately, in South Korea, the government regulates what is blogged on the

I would also like to add that most bloggers are idiots and it should be illegal for idiots to write opinionated articles and post them on the internet. That is how we get more idiots. How about an IQ test or an SAT score to regulate smart bloggers?
[Thread Jack] Firefox doesn't recognize "bloggers" as a correctly spelled word? I thought that, by now, it sure would.[/Thread Jack]
