I have 25 acres in a rural area where I can easily shoot into a rise and contain all shots on my property. Behind the rise are dense woods with no houses for at least 1,000 yards. Assuming my neighbors don't object to the noise (those I talked to don't), is it legal to target practice on my own land? I have not found any restrictions on this in reading state and local regulations, but I want to make sure I didn't miss anything.

Target practice on my own land?
In NJ, the bad guys are armed and the households are alarmed. In VA, the households are armed and the bad guys are alarmed.

I'm no lawyer, but it sounds like you would be ok to shoot on your land. Even if the neighbors hate it, it's your property and they couldn't stop you from shooting. Check local ordinances.
