Submitted 2 Forms yesterday

Post by bryanrheem »

Form 4 via mail
Form 1 via ATFonline

The wait begins. I know there is a lot of chatter regarding the changes to require CLEO sign-off, but I'm blessed to have a Sheriff that signs off in 2 weeks.

It's just more hassle intended to intimidate would be owners into not following through. I know people today that don't own any "regular" Title I firearms because they are intimidated by the endless laws concerning their lawful use. That may sound odd, but consider how many laws you actually have to comply with at the Federal, State, and local level. It's quite a volume!

Received an email from ATFOnline… my form 1 was APPROVED today. That's a record! Submitted 9/4, approved 12/6. Now I just have to wait and see how long it takes to mail me my stamp… hopefully not 6 months.

So I called today and they said my Form 4 would be done Nov 2014!! Ugh…

I also just bought an AAC 762 can from Sterling ARsenal today and since they are on eForms, I should have that stamp by May!

Man... I am starting to think a 5.56 SBR and a can might be in my future. Got to act before anymore lunacy in the NFA world gets tacked onto the current restrictions. 3 months is great compared to even a year ago.

Might as well while eForms is at the 90-120 day turn around mark!

doesn't really matter, 2n'd forms aren't any faster than firsts.

Re darn diculous.

Yes my first time in the system.

Strangely enough my brother who is a city detective on a federal task force put his in a month after me and only got his stamp 2 weeks ago.

Just received my Form 4 stamp! So, submitted 9/4, received by my dealer 5/11… 8 months. Much better than the 12-14 months I was quoted when I had called a while ago. Looks like the extra hired help IS getting through the backlog. Now they need to fix eForms so I can get my AAC can!

If the eForm4 was submitted before the shutdown, it will be approved (assuming no errors, of course)
They are chugging through them. There have been reports of newly approved Form 1's that were submitted before they turned them off. So, they are getting them done, just no new submissions.

Also, from your December post, with an eForm, you will not receive a paper copy. Digital only. Just print it out.

Chris,

that's good news! My AAC eForm4 was sent in early Jan of this year. To be honest, this paper Form4 was a gift because when I called earlier in the year they said that it would be approve in November!
