.32 caliber revolver

Post by SPIKEH26 »

I had a family member pass and my wife ended up with a I will have to ck the name brand but its a .32 caliber s&w revolver. Its not a S&W brand. Is .32 s&w bullets easily obtained or are they harder to find now. Cool little revolver and want to shot it but not excited over trying it with the 30 year old bullets that i have for it . Thanks :welcome:

32 s&w LONG is reasonably easy to find.
32 s&w, aka 32 s&w SHORT is much less available

I have a S&W 32long. It will also work with 32 Shorts. If it didn't belong to my grandfather I would probably sell it. As I don't believe it is powerful enough for self defense, not cheap to shoot and not a precession gun.

As mentioned there are multiple 32 caliber cartridges. Be sure you know which cartridge you are looking for. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/.32_S&W

If you have a top break gun, I would be very hesitant to shoot it with standard ammo. I have talked to several people online who's guns broke. It wasn't a kaboom, but more like a WTF I broke grandfathers cheap gun moment.

If it has an "owl" on it? It's an Ivers and Johnson No. 2.

I inherited one from my aunt, and yeah, 32S&W shorts are kinda pricey, but you'll find it's a fun shoot.

Especially considering how SMALL their hands were! It's a dainty lil' thing.

Found out though, the Ivers and Johnson No2 .32S&W? Has assassinated more presidents than any other firearm! I can't rightly name them off, but I know when I inherited mine I did some research.

At the gun show this past weekend about all they had left after the mass rush Saturday was .32 in ACP, S&W Long, and Short. Check out Georgia Arms if they make the circuit in your area.
