New to VGOF/New to VA/New to Franklin Co.

Howdy, everyone!

Well, unloaded the truck today and spending my first evening in Franklin County, VA. Lovely Wife and I are moving here for her job (mine isn't tied to a specific location) and plan to stay for good...looking for a place with some acreage for both hunting and just a place to grow into that "gun-loving curmudgeon."

Have been active on the NC gun owners forum and with GRNC for awhile. Looking forward to getting to know you fine folks while settling into Virginia.

Welcome! Best thing about VA? No "going to the terror".

That said I LOVE NC! Spend a lot of time fishing out of hatteras, and sometimes oregon inlet.

If you have (or may have) children the further you are from Rocky Mount your kids may be looking at a bus drive of over an hour each way when they finish elementary school, thats why we passed on Franklin.

If you have (or may have) children the further you are from Rocky Mount your kids may be looking at a bus drive of over an hour each way when they finish elementary school, thats why we passed on Franklin.

No kids here. That means more $$$ for ammo and radios.
