I have a Kimber 223 rifle I'll be posting for sale soon but am noticing the used firearm market is a bit soft. Maybe my imagination. I don't know. I know the long gun market is slow as everyone is grabbing up the easily concealed handguns wherever they can get them. But how about the quality hunting/range rifles? I purchased a sweet Winchester 70 in 30-06 a while back for $550 from Gander Mountain. It is flawless. The first time out, I made two clicks adjustment to the scope(included) and it put three bullets trough the same hole at 100yards. Wish I had kept that target. Is this what I'm up against when I post my next rifle? Am I really gonna end up taking a bath on it? Sucks really. I'd like to keep it but don't want to have to stock 5.56 AND .223. 90% of what I have now is 5.56 so I have a rifle and ammo that aren't compatible. I bought it originally because it was a beautiful piece with the intention of just occasional shooting but I hit the AR a lot when I go out.
I know I painted myself into a corner. I just don't know how long before the paint dries. But, such is life I guess. If the long gun market is truly softened up, I'll just have to get what I can and take my licks.
