That site begins with a very short-sighted statistic.
Every day, 33 Americans are murdered with guns. Too often, the people pulling the triggers were able to buy firearms because of the gaps in our broken background check system.
If you were to break down the 33 dead people daily, how many do you think are dead due to drug and gang violence? Of those deaths, how many of the associated guns do you think were stolen or otherwise handed down through the ranks of a gang?

Background checks don't fix law-breakers. No matter how many laws are on the books - no matter how detailed a background check system may become...criminals will always find a way around it to get the firepower that they need to wage their drug/gang wars in the streets.

I'd like to know how that 33 deaths per day statistic breaks down in those terms.

I'd say about 30 of those deaths occur in Chicago :roll:

Alls i know is we have some mighty blue blooded politicians... Republicans included... Making their way to va it seems.
