Lafayette Gun Club

If you got a good deal or great service from a shop or range and you want to brag about them, here's the place to do it. Likewise, if you are unhappy about someone's service or feel like you've been ripped off, we want to know that too!

Lafayette Gun Club

Post by gln305 »

I have been looking into the excellent suggestions for ranges and such in my "Moving to VA thread" and Lafayette Gun club has me interested. Is anyone on here a member? I noticed you have to be recommended by a current member in good standing, which I am sure will come in time and I like the idea that the gun club is partially limited that way. The facilities look excellent, can anyone further elaborate on them? Thanks!

Unfortunately, LGC is closed for new membership, per the sign out front and online.

This is true.

And the storm last night has caused some damage to the facilities. As of this writing the club is closed to all until repairs are complete. To members of the club- you might want to wait until there is official word of opening after repairs are complete before making the trip.

We have outdoor 25, 50 and 100 yrd ranges. Firing positions on theses ranges are covered. Very nice in the summer when it gets hot. Shotgun/Trap range. There is a covered area with picnic benches behind the firing positions. And a 10 position indoor pistol range.

Women's facilities are in the clubhouse. Men's are in the woods. :yankchain: Just kidding. Men's are in the clubhouse also but I wish they'd stop using the ladies room too.

Looks like a good place to wait for membership...guess I'll have to find another place for the mean time. This new 10/22 is begging for some range time!
