Just giving you an alternative to "crosshair/magnification" scopes.

I have one on my Target 10/22, but I have a red/green dot on the "walk-around" model.
I put one of these Tasco Red/Green Dot on my 10/22 Take Down this morning. I went with this model because a regular length tube scope would not fit in the Take Down Carrying Bag. I thought it performed very well and was easy to use too. I shot about 300 rds. today , only took several shots to sight in. It fits the 10/22 very nicely.

As some have said here... The meuller apv is the. 22lr scope. I have one on my 10/22 and only paid about 150 for it. They are excellent.

The Barska gets my vote too.
(I'm using a CZ 452 however)
