How to know when you're WAY too into firearms!

Post by Reverenddel »

1.) When you go into a gunstore, and know both wholesale, and internet prices off the top of your head. No smartphone, no tablet, you just remember because you check it twice a day.

2.) You're more adept to internet web searches, and the most useful engines, than a 13 year old girl with a Justin Bieber fixation.

3.) You can quote gun laws by section number, and code.

4.) You cannot watch anything on TV, or in movies, or read books when they make serious errors on firearms (IE: a Glock being "Cocked")

5.) This is what you say in gunshops/gunshows "Got it...got it and sold it...shot it and hate it...read bad reviews on it... too heavy...too ugly... too girly...just put it on layaway..."

6.) Your significant another says "OH LORD!" when the mainstream media announces they're going to do a news segment on guns. It's not because they're going to get it wrong (Which they WILL!), but the fact they're going to have to put on shooting muffs because of the YELLING you will be doing at the screen when you just cannot take it anymore.

7.) You plan vacations around shooting events, and hunting/shooting trips. Including weddings/bar mitzvahs/birthdays. "Hhhmmm, Family Memorial day event in SW Va, and they have a Turkey Shoot on Saaaturrrddayyy at the VFW right across from the hotel....gotta pack the 30" Remington Pump with full choke!"

8.) You think a purse with a built-in holster is a romantic gift! "But...but...it matches the gun belt I just bought you! Oh yeah, and maybe those shoes you bought."

9.) Your children can "Cut the Pie" with their Nerf guns, and understand 5-Man Formation room clearing, and they have NEVER PLAYED ANY VIDEO GAME REQUIRING IT! "Dooo we HAVE to run the drill AAAAGGGAAAIINNN!?! I wanna play Wii!"

10.) No one dates your daughter, or niece, or friend's daughter because when you met the first boy she brought home... he said snarkly "Nice gun" when he saw your EDC, and you said "Uh-huh... remember that when your hands start to wander ya' lil' sh't." And the rumors FLEW!

These are my own. Not someone else's. These are examples of things I have done. I need a break from Guns. :hysterical: :hysterical: :hysterical: :hysterical:

11) You wonder if you really NEED that much food to eat this month anyway, as a way of justifying the $1000 of Gunbot ammo you bought this month.

Wow that video made me realize something that I need to go buy a glock just so I can buy a 30 round magazine for it! *Sigh* Somewhere there is a rubber room with my name on it. :bangin:

This is rookie stuff here. You're not in nearly deep enough. :hysterical:
I'm a bit OCD and I was into antique Jeeps. Did I tell you that I just sold off number 100, yes real jeeps.
Friend called me up to ask me off the top of my head what the part number was off of a WWll jeep head and the casting number off the engine was. I took me about a second to give it too him as I ratted off in my brain the civilain vs military part and casting numbers.
I was actually setting some the prices in the market and knew all the top players in the country!!! Besides shipping every state in the USA I was filling containers that were going overseas. When my wife asked where that jeep came from my answer was that they had puppies!!!
Are you there yet????

Kinetic, I was all in the video... seriously. To the point that I came up with more

Including the ones others had mentioned

12.) You have actually tried to convince your spouse that naming future boy children "Mikhail", and "Eugene" is a good idea.

13.) Tom Knapp passes, and you wear black... seriously. I did that.

Reminds me of a good friend who's husband recently passed away and as she was cleaning out his gun collection she was shocked but how big of a gun nut he was. She thought he had "two or three" because she never could tell the difference as it turns out that number was over 40! Needless to say we gonna go shooting.

No problem glad you liked it. I'm subscribed to Colion Noir on YouTube and I recommend everyone else do the same. His videos are great, plain spoken yet eloquent, short and easy to understand, while also entertaining.

OK, buddy had a gun store, he's gone now. You cannot believe how many men paid to store their guns at the store safes because they couldn't be caught at home w/ another gun!!!
