Now that I have my CHP, should I carry a copy or the original with me? What do you all do? Thanks in advance!

Congrats! 
Laminate the original and stick it in your wallet - that way you have the embossed seal and original signatures on the one that you're carrying with you.

iirc, you need to sign it, too. difficult if it's laminated first.

Definately carry the original. I keep mine in the orange folding pouch that they give out with the hunting and fishing licsenses. Good luck!
