Glad to find this forum. One question is why do so many people talk about not being able to cc in an establishment that sells alcohol? I read the law to say that if you do you just cant drink. Am i reading it wrong?

Not sure about everyone else, but I am usually drinking if I am in bar, or restaurant with a bar.

Yup, you can CC and not drink or you can OC and have a drink if you wish. However, while I believe most people can have a drink with dinner and be in full mental control, it leaves a negative appearance to the general public, and most likely will be used against you if you should have to use your weapon. Can you imagine what the jury would think when a prosecutor says "only moments before that hand pulled a gun and shot my client it was lifting a beer to his mouth"?

Now, I don't invite the public into my home and I have better legal footing as well, so I'll drink if I wanna!

One think to look for when you read threads is how old they are. When you first join a forum it is possible to get into old threads. Some of the CC and liquid threads may have been started prior to the change in the law, 2 years ago July IIRC.
