1. Bloomberg 30-round magazine, large sugary drink, and "A Salt" shaker giveaway!

In 2007 VCDL held the successful (and fun) Bloomberg Gun Giveaway, where we gave away two handguns. Now that gun owners defeated Bloomberg's anti-gun agenda last week, it's time for another giveaway!
To celebrate, VCDL is holding the "Bloomburg 30-Round, Sugary, 'A Salt' Magazine Giveaway" at the **MAY 23** VCDL membership meeting in Annandale!
New York City's fearless leader and Napoleanic understudy, is a true "gun-nut," totally fixated on firearms. In reality, Bloomberg is an insecure dictator, who feels threatened by our right to keep and bear arms and wants to disarm everyone, except, of course, his own FIVE-man security team!
There will be two sets of door prizes at the meeting:
1. First place: choice of either an AR-15 30-round magazine OR an AK-47 30-round magazine. The winner will also get a huge sugary soft drink and a salt shaker. (All things Bloomberg is trying to ban or severely restrict)
2. Second place: the magazine NOT chosen by the winner and a huge sugary soft drink
The event is free. The prizes will be given to two lucky attendees!
NOTE: We won a battle, not the war, and we need to continue to be vigilant as our opponents are trying to regroup.

There is a VCDL membership meeting in Annandale at the Mason Government Center this Thursday, April 25, at 8 pm. Fellowship starts at 7:30 PM.
The meeting is open to the pubic, so bring friends, family, and co-workers.

The cost to attend the event is $75.00 per couple or $40.00 singles.

5. VCDL/Roanoke Rifle and Revolver Club Defensive Pistol Shoot on May 11th. Helpers needed

These are really fun events! Think you are a good shot, especially tactically? One way to find out!
The proceeds are shared between VCDL and the Roanoke Rifle and Revolver club.
Registration starts at 9 AM, with the shoot starting at 10 AM.
The cost to participate in the shoot is $20.00. You will need to bring about 100 rounds of ammunition for the 6 stages.
FREE hot dog lunch, and lots of PRIZES!
The shoot is open to the public.

We need SET UP and COOKING helpers!

6. VCDL "Pot Luck" Picnic on May 25 in Salem

A VCDL "Pot Luck" Picnic is being held on Saturday, May 25, in Salem's Long Wood Park. Please bring a covered dish to share with others. "Out-of-towners" please just come, we will feed you!
VCDL will furnish plates, napkins, plasticware, cups and soft drinks. The picnic is pen to the public.
Early birds start arriving at 10 AM and we will begin eating at 11 AM.

VCDL is trying to build up its presence in the far western part of the state and we need help manning our booth.
